Vantage Toyota York

We are pleased to announce that Vantage Toyota York have named OSCAR’s PBTC as their charity of the year starting from September 2022.  Beginning with a £500 donation, taken from their staff vending machine, their next event will be a 100-mile bike ride taking place on the 12th of October.

As part of a local Yorkshire and Lancashire based company, Vantage Toyota York are pleased to serve their community and hope to announce more events in 2023.

Athena HR

A local company that provides a range of HR services for businesses to keep them compliant, current and reassured. We are very grateful for their sponsorship of our Inflatable 5k and participants wore t-shirts bearing their name as they ran the course, featured in local media.

BNI, a global business networking group, welcomed us into their charity seat in their Ebor (York) group. Their very generous donation to allow us to take up membership has been followed up by members fundraising for two events – BNI’s Miles of Giving on Friday 6th May, which raised £750, and as part of our Inflatable Run team on Saturday 18th June, raising a further £3000.

York Health Economics Consortium

York Health Economics Consortium are proud and delighted to support Oscar’s PBTC as their Charity of the Year 2022. They have lots of group events lined up and will be sending teams to take part in Endure 24 and the Yorkshire Marathon. We look forward to working with them.

Their first big event took place in March with an online quiz run by Chris Bartlett raising over £100. Following that, 25 staff hiked across Yorkshire’s Three Peaks, raising £1100. Following that staff competed in both the Inflatable 5k and Endure24 raising a further £1100 for the charity. More staff are due to take part in the Yorkshire Marathon Relay in October.

Camper King

With Oscar’s Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity being close to the hearts of CamperKing and its employees, the company has named us as their chosen charity. We are grateful for the loyal support they have given us for many years.

Brand ambassador and ex-England Rugby international, Jason Robinson donated a signed England shirt to Camper King, who auctioned it on Ebay in March raising £150 for the charity.

They joined us on the slopes of Ben Nevis. Check out their blog and wonderful video via the link.

Branding team member, Aaron Manton competed in the Staffordshire Iron Man in June, raising £500.

Haxby and Wigginton Methodist Church

We are delighted to announce this year’s Scarecrow Festival — the14th – chose Oscar’s PBTC to be one of the recipients of funds raised.

It was held over the Early May Bank Holiday weekend (Saturday 30th April to Monday 2nd May 2022). We raised over £300 from donations from generous visitors to our stall and our scarecrow also featured in the local press. and the Scarecrow Festival itself raised an amazing £1450 on top of that, as well as helping us get 20 runners for our Inflatable 5k team.

John King Laser

A local company that works internationally, we are pleased to have begun a partnership with John King Chains, in particular their precision cutting division, John King Laser. We are very grateful for their sponsorship of our Ben Nevis Family Challenge 2022 and participants wore t-shirts bearing their name as they head to the summit and when appearing in print and TV news.

In 2018-19 OSCAR’s PBTC was chosen as the York Trusted Professionals (YTP) Charity of the Year. This partnership saw the networking group of about 20 business raise over £10.5K for our charity.

Across 2018-19 we partnered up with Sainsburys at Monks Cross in York. It was an honour to be chosen as the local charity partner at one of Sainsburys superstores.

Once the totals for collecting, raffles, quizzes, selling homemade items and singing was calculated, our partnership had raised £8850 for the charity.
