John King Laser

A local company that works internationally, we are pleased to have begun a partnership with John King Chains, in particular their precision cutting division, John King Laser. We are very grateful for their sponsorship of our Ben Nevis Family Challenge 2022 and participants wore t-shirts bearing their name as they head to the summit and when appearing in print and TV news.

BNI, a global business networking group, welcomed us into their charity seat in their Ebor (York) group. Their very generous donation to allow us to take up membership has been followed up by members fundraising for two events – BNI’s Miles of Giving on Friday 6th May and as part of our Inflatable Run team on Saturday 18th June.

Haxby and Wigginton Methodist Church

We are delighted to announce this year’s Scarecrow Festival — the14th – chose Oscar’s PBTC to be one of the recipients of funds raised.

It was held over the Early May Bank Holiday weekend (Saturday 30th April to Monday 2nd May 2022). We raised over £300 from donations from generous visitors to our stall and our scarecrow also featured in the local press. The grand total raised for OSCAR’s by the Scarecrow Festival is yet to be announced, but we believe there could be four figures in the sum…!
