Talking about inspiration, eight-year-old Oscar Hughes has arranged for hundreds of children at his primary school to run a “marathon” for charity. Pupils and teachers from Dunnington Primary will run 200 metres each, to make up a total distance of 26.2 miles. The money raised will go towards a children’s cancer charity.

Oscar, who has helped organise the event, will join them – even though earlier this year he underwent a gruelling operation to remove a brain tumour He’s already a champion fundraiser and a finalist in The Press Community Pride Awards.
