Family Challenge 2024

Walk on with hope in your heart
On Sunday 5 May 2024, the village of Hope in Derbyshire is the start and end point of our ten-hour walk in the year of our tenth anniversary.
We want you to take on the Edale Skyline Challenge with us and help raise money for children with brain tumours and their families.
We have two options for you to choose: the 20-mile (for 11-year-olds and over) or the ‘Train and Trek’ route that involves the fun of a rail journey followed by 13 miles walking (for all ages – with u11s accompanied by a guardian). Click on your chosen event to head to our booking form.
Registration can be done through our mountain guide partners, RAW Adventures, who have run our events every year and that booking will be open soon. We will require £30 per person to secure your place.
If you want any detail not found here, just contact our Charity Manager, Phil Martinez (phil@oscarspbtc.org).

Climbers will register then set off at 7am on Sunday morning from the village of Hope. We will walk together for 3km before one group heads to the train station to cover a few miles by rail before rejoining the main trail. We aim for all of us to return ten or so hours later back where we started in Hope.
Tips for finding accommodation in the area will appear here soon.
We simply ask you to try and raise as much money per person as possible. Ideally £200 per person. Our target for the event is £20,000.
We are generously supported by our long-time charity partners, CamperKing.
CamperKing are the UK’s largest VW campervan converter and retailer of VW campervan conversions, built for family holidays and adventure – whihc makes them the perfect fit for this adventurous family event.
The support of such companies is invaluable in the work we do and makes sure that as much money raised as possible can go directly to our work.
