Family Challenge 2022

The big one

“I pushed myself harder than I ever have. There were so many times I wanted to give up, but I continued because of the incredible people climbing. What a great experience. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It really reminded me exactly what I am capable of. It is honestly life-changing.” -Trushali Chudasama, first-time mountaineer and OSCAR’s PBTC fundraiser

On Sunday 1 May 2022 the Family Challenge went BIG as 37 brave climbers, including 13 children, scaled the UK’s tallest mountain – Ben Nevis in Scotland.

This challenge was harder and longer than our previous weekends on Snowdon and Scafell but all the more rewarding for completing it. The sense of achievement climbers had was immense – the fact they raised over £15,000 for our essential work at the same time  made every step worth it.

If you enjoy the video and photos, take a look at the next Family Challenge – the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

If you have come to make a donation, then the JustGiving page for Marie, Oscar and Milo’s mum, and Lucas, Oscar and Milo’s brother, is here. The two of them have faced so many challenges together, along with Marie’s other son, Seb, so you can support their fundraising as they took on yet another.

We want to thank our event sponsors John King Laser for providing t-shirts for participants, RAW Adventures for guiding us up the mountain and keeping us safe and Camper King for the video and their partnership with the charity. The support of such companies is invaluable in the work we do and makes sure that as much money raised as possible can go directly to our work.
